Beautiful house, nice view We were a group of 13 climbers from Norway, so full house! Suprisingly no issues with hot water in the shower, even if all of us took one the same evening, this is often a problem for big groups. Also a big kitchen with room for many chefs at a time 🙂 Valle de Abdalajis is a pretty little town, but a longer drive to Alora is better if you want to eat at restaurants.

Excellent established villa in the mountain We had a brilliant stay at Loma La Parra. 10 of us were house in the spacious property. All 5 bedrooms were ensuite and were huge. The living / dining room provided ample space to relax indoors. The kitchen area is also impressive and also has a large table. The best part of the villa is the swimming pool area including the pagoda which provided a welcome shaded area. There's plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. A separate building housed the charcoal bbq and had both electric and water. WiFi was available throughout the property including around the pool. The owners were always available to discuss any issues. Overall an extremely good property which lived up to our expectations.

The perfect holiday home Our family of 8 had an absolutely fantastic break at the property. Ranging from ages 7 - 65, the house met all our needs and was big, spacious and perfectly equipped for us to spend the week in the sun in the most relaxed fashion.
Days were spent in the pool or chilling in the spacious living room while evenings were spent cooking fantastic BBQs in the outdoor kitchen; enjoying quality family meals on the veranda; watching the beautiful sunsets dip behind the mountains and all followed up by evening dips in the pool. Two big shops in the Lidl half an hour's drive away (Antequera) saw us through the week. The kitchen and utility space were very well appointed so that we didn't need to purchase any equipment.
Colin was on hand all week and it was comforting having the security of support, a simple text away, (particularly given our age ranges). We feel very lucky to have experienced Valle de Abdalajis in such a perfect property and would love to visit again. You will not be disappointed with this property, location or ease of self-catering opportunity.

Just book it........! A stunning villa in a stunning location. Situated just outside a quaint and rural village, this amazing villa is a great choice for large family's / groups with plenty of space both inside & out for everyone to spread out. The villa is well equipped with everything you need for your stay and the outside spaces are especially fantastic. The pool is cleaned every morning and we had meals delivered on two occasions and both were delicious and plentiful - enough left over to snack on the following day . Colin and Francesca were extremely helpful and responded to our enquires very swiftly and answered our numerous questions and requests for information. You really need a car to be able to get out and about - you CAN walk to the village but it is quite a hike especially in the heat, but the tranquillity of the location and the views cannot be faulted. If your looking to spend some quality time around a pool in glorious surrounding, firing up the BBQ for relaxed alfresco dining and wandering down to the village for a few drinks & tapas sat on the pavement outside a typical bar, this is the place - you won't find better!!

Holiday Bliss An excellent, secluded property , well appointed and good facilities.

Perfect stay this was a perfect time in Andalusia. The location of the house near the Little Village of Abdalajis is perfect. You can buy there any food and drinks you need and the kitchen is well equipped, so cook, eat and drink at the best.

The communication with Collin was also perfect. Any Problem was solved at once.

We had been 8 Person and ther was really enough space for anybody to do what you like.

In summary it was the best house we ever had.

Super villa with stunning views All you could wish for and more. Super hosts, clean, stylish villa, great pool. Great value for money. 7 adults, 5 children could easily live comfortably here. Gardener came by almost every day to clean the pool and attend to the garden. Outdoor kitchen was great!! Just book and go, you won’t regret it.

Fin de semana familiar Hemos pasado un fin de semana extraordinario en la casa de Colin.

La casa es mejor que en las fotos. Súper equipada, espaciosa, bonita, ... lo tiene todo.

El tiempo nos acompañó y pudimos disfrutar de las zonas exteriores, que son fantásticas.

Se la recomiendo a todo el mundo.

An excellent villa, lovely pool and outside spaces. Great location. Caring hosts 10/10 A Great choice. Fantastic stunning countryside villa, very spacious and well equipped, set high up in the hills and yet still only 5 mins from the local village and 30 mins from a large town. The surrounding area is gorgeous.

We were a party of 10 adults and 2 children, we all loved the big outdoor seating & dining areas, excellent bbq area, huge gently sloping pool and padded sun loungers. The outside space is excellent whether you want some sun or need some shade. Stunning views over the valley, you cannot see another nearby house from the villa...

The kitchen area is quite large, is quite well equipped, and allowed us to all muck in and prepare some lovely dishes prepared with local produce from the village and supermarkets. The bedrooms are all very comfortable, air conditioned(if you want it) only one was not setup as a double.

We did have a couple of issues during our stay, both times, Colin & Francesca were at the end of the phone and arranged for the issues to be resolved within the hour. They are very caring hosts and want everything to be right for you.

Everyone had a superb week. We will definitely be returning.

Stunning property - highly recommend Perfect for our large group of 13 aged 4 - 50 odd. Beautiful setting, clean and well equipped. Having both shower and poolside towels was brilliant and there is a vast range of films on the tv which was great for when the kids needed a break from the heat or a bit of quiet time.
Colin was very helpful with both local information and when we had any queries or problems.
Local village had two supermarkets which were adequate for our needs.
Only downside was those long winding roads to reach the villa, but I guess you don’t get the stunning views and scenery without that!

A wonderful property with a lovely pool and outdoor space. Great location and hosts!! We had a fantastic time at Colin and Francesca’s place - the property is stunning and spacious, the surrounding area is beautiful and there is lots to do.

We loved the big outdoor seating areas and bbq, the pool and sun loungers and the large communal space and kitchen inside the house. The bedrooms were also very nice and comfortable. Can’t say enough how great the outdoor space and pool was - that was definitely our favourite part of the house! Everything was clean and very well stocked, and whenever we had any questions or issues, Colin and Francesca were very quick to resolve them.

There was so much to do in the surrounding area, and Colin and Francesca were great at giving fantastic recommendations of places to go and visit and restaurants to eat at. They even organised a paella delivery to the villa for us, and always ensured to tell us to book in advance for attractions that get booked up - eg Caminito del Rey and the Alhambra. We also enjoyed visiting the nearby towns Valle de Abdalajis (5 mins drive) and Antequera (30 mins drive).

Overall we had an absolutely fantastic time, both in the villa and exploring the region and visiting attractions. Colin and Francesca were superb. We will most certainly stay again at some point in the future!

Wow! Truly outstanding villa! There is only one word that describes that first view of Loma la Parra ......WOW! You know when your teenagers are impressed you have hit the jackpot!

We visited at the beginning of July for a week with our four teenagers. The house itself has everything you could possibly need, a well stocked kitchen, plenty of social space so you aren’t on top of each other and generous bedrooms plus ensuites, ensuring no arguments! Solidly built too so the teenagers didn’t disturb us at night and nor did we disturb them in the mornings.

Where the property comes into its own though is the garden. A long private driveway ensuring privacy and no close neighbours, so no need to constantly tell the teenagers to lower their voices! A very generous sized swimming pool so the adults could swim while the kids played and no shortage of seating. There was no need to rely on umbrellas for sheltering when the sun got hot as there was a generous gazebo. The outside kitchen came fully equipped for fantastic bbq’s. For me personally the best bit was the views, surrounded on all sides by mountains, with eagles soaring on the thermals and goats heading past on their way for pasture, it was amazing!

We didn’t get out and about as much as we would have liked (will need to return!) but can recommend a day in Antequera, do remember about siesta time though! You will also find large supermarkets there to stock up. We spent a day on the coast for the teenagers, Puerto Banus is great for super cars as well as boats. Realistically though with such a great villa there was no need to travel far and a restful time was had by all.

Colin and Francesca were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, they answered all our questions before and during the visit promptly and Jose was wonderful at making sure we had settled in. The wine and cakes were very much appreciated by all. Even our canine friend just made our visit more memorable.

Would we return? YES
Would we do anything differently? We would hire a smaller car, the mini van we had was a little large for the mountain roads although we were getting used to it by the time we left.

Perfect house for us. 11 people and 1 children Alla var mycket tillfreds med huset och dess utrustning. Fantastisk utsikt o husets med dess gemytliga inredning. Vädret var varierat men ganska blåsigt den vecka vi var där. Bada kunde vi fast det var lite svalt i poolen.
Kan mycket väl återkomma. Lagom avstånd från Malaga.

Området fritt men kanske lite blåsigt. Kan vara bra om det är för varmt.

Preciosa casa en una zona maravillosa Somos una familia de 13 personas y hemos disfrutado mucho de lo espaciosa y cómoda que es la casa. Muy limpia y totalmente equipada. La zona es preciosa y la situación de la casa es perfecta para visitar Málaga, Cordoba, Ronda, el caminito del Rey y Granada. Hemos pasado una Semana Santa fantástica. Amazing villa 5 retired couples stayed four nights at this lovely villa. It exceeded our expectations. The house is large and comfortably accommodates 10 people with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything we needed to make a few meals. The yard and views from the house were incredible. It is a short drive to the village ( and a couple of the group actually walked back to the villa from town 2km ). The grocery store in the village had everything we needed at bargain prices. Colin responded to several small issues we had immediately and Maria and Josef are the local contacts who took care of any problems and answered our questions. I cannot say enough about the wonderful suggestions we received from Colin and Francesca. The directions to the house, information on local fiesta, were all very much appreciated. Our only disappointment was the weather. Spain was experiencing unusual rain most of the 10 days we were there. We would have liked to have been out in the yard sitting by the the lovely pool every day. I guess we will just have to come back ! We would also suggest having Maria bring paella for dinner one night. We ordered enough for 10 and got enough for 20! There was plenty for dinner and lunch and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this property.

A fantastic place We stayed in the house with the whole family with children from 10 to our grandmother 80 years old. It really is a beautifull house. Colin was very attentively, he helped us with information for our daytrips. The house is clean, big, cosy and has a perfect garden with swimmingpool. Hope to come back some day, thank you for you hospitallity!!

Summer August 2017 We had a fabulous 2 weeks in Loma La Parra in Spain. The property was spacious and very well maintained. The bedrooms were comfortable and had all the furniture we needed and the ensure bathrooms/shower rooms were very clean. The patio area and kitchen were well equipped and were the central meeting spaces for our large family to relax in with ample shaded areas for the times we needed to be out of the sun. The pool area was exceptionally lovely and the children (young and old) enjoyed playing in it. The sunbeds were very comfortable and there were enough for our party.
If I had to complain about anything it would be the wasps and flies who seemed to love spending the evening with us!
Overall a very enjoyable holiday

Fabulous Stay! Fabulous, relaxing week with the family (all adults) in a beautiful villa, located in the perfect spot for exploring the area. The villa and it's facilities were perfect, the pool and garden were spotless, and cleaned several times during the week, and the surrounding area and views were spectacular. Amazing walk along the Caminito del Rey (a must see), which is only 30 mins drive away, and lovely days in Ronda (about 1.5 hours), and Antequera (30 mins). The owners were very communicative, both before, and during, our stay, and went to a lot of trouble to make sure everything was perfect. We had an amazing Paella delivered one evening, by Mari & Jose, relatives of the owners, and all the other evenings we took advantage of the BBQ at one side of the garden, then had really relaxing evenings on the patio, with plenty of local wine! The local town is only 5 mins drive away, with all the little local shops and supermarkets that you need, plus several lovely little tapas bars, that were a welcome distraction after doing a bit of shopping! Sadly, we can't comment on any of the local restaurants, as the villa and surroundings were so perfect that we ended up staying in every evening! We would have loved to be staying for a second week, and can't recommend this villa/location highly enough. Many, many thanks to Colin and Francesca for making our stay so perfect!

A wonderful place to stay with perfect hosts The house was perfect for a family travelling with 4 teenagers, a younger child in a wheelchair and a granny - so a mixed bunch whose needs were met in every way. We could have just spent the whole time next to the pool and in the surrounding area... the local town was welcoming with a few little local shops with families of all ages; we also explored the local lakes, which were beautiful and did horse riding in the evening which was loved by all, even my disabled son (but not granny)... a wonderful place with very approachable hosts always keen to help.

Fantastic holiday home This is a beautiful villa standing alone in amazing countryside. We were a group of 10 and didn't venture very far away from Loma La Para as it was everything we wanted. We all work very hard, some of us just out of A levels / degree exams and lazy days around the pool was just what we all needed. The villa had everything we required, from comfortable sun loungers, great pool, space,(inside and out) views, bbq, dishwasher, towels etc. Colin was very helpful before our stay and during via whatsapp. We also ordered the paella one night delivered to our door, hot and delicious. This is one place we would definitely return!!

Un fin de semana espléndido Nuestro fin de semana en esta villa ha sido fantástico, tanto por el clima como por la estancia en dicha villa.
La vivienda esta equipada con todo lo necesario para pasar los días que halláis decidido pasar en ella,en nuestro caso no hemos echado en falta nada de nada,desde toallas para la piscina hasta bolsas de basura,leña para la barbacoa,menaje,ropa de cama.....en definitiva una acción muy aconsejable para desconectar.

Hemos pasado unos días maravillosos en Loma La Parra, éramos un grupo muy grande, con varios niños y la distribución de la casa, así como la amplitud de todos los espacios hizo que nuestra estancia fuera perfecta! Disfrutamos mucho de todos los ambientes de la casa, sobre todo los exteriores ya que nos hizo muy buen tiempo, y los niños no perdieron la oportunidad de darse sus primeros chapuzones del año en la piscina!!! Además, los alrededores y el pintoresco pueblo de Valle de Abdalajis fueron buenos aliados para cuando quisimos dar una vuelta! Gracias por manteneros siempre en contacto, resolviendo todas las dudas y peticiones que teníamos, y muy en especial, quiero hacer extensivo este agradecimiento a Mari, encantadora y siempre dispuesta a ayudar, que durante todos los días de nuestra estancia estuvo atenta y localizable! beautiful house in rural Andalucia We spent a fantastic week over Christmas in this house. There were 15 of us from 2 yrs old to 80 and there was something for everyone. The house is in a great location with many good days out close by.
The house has been built and furnished with great care and each of the bedrooms has character and charm. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment and there are two fridges and a laundry room making it very straightforward to cater for large groups.
Colin and Francesca were very thoughtful hosts. They were in touch to ensure we had a perfect stay and on the occasion when we had a small issue they were on hand to help us resolve it.
I would definitely recommend the house for large groups looking for a place to get away.

Perfection!! We truly loved staying at Loma la Parra. The house is spacious and very well equipped. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom, a plus. The kitchen was everything we needed and we were able to do laundry, which is always a plus. But by far the best thing about the house is the patio/terrace and pool area. We sat each night on the terrace and had appetizers and drinks and talked about our day. We spent two pool days just relaxing and decompressing and they were the best!! We loved the town and Colin's recommendation to eat at Nescania turned out to be favorite for us. Colin was very responsive to our communications and so helpful with our planning. The highlight of our trip was the Caminito del Rey and Ardales Lakes, but we also enjoyed El Torcal, Los Arcos, Antequerra, and Ronda. The property is exactly as described and we could not have been happier. Highly recommend!

Great house, excellent holiday Loma la Parra is a lovely house, it's clean, well maintained, has great country views. The description given by the owners is an accurate and honest overview of the property and it is a great place for a family holiday.
Our family holiday - three genearations, age range from 9 years upwards - in July was superb, the weather was gloriously hot and Loma la Parra's excellent pool and barbeque were in constant use. Colin and Francesca were available (by phone) if needed but were otherwise non-intrusive. Having said that the information, advice and help they gave on the run-up to our holiday evidenced their intimate local knowledge and superb customer service... they are also very nice people !!!
A car is essential (well it was for us). Valle de Abdalajis is a mile or so away (downhill from the house) and has a couple of supermarkets, and local restaurants, but it's probably worth the half hour trip to Antequera for larger shops, including a hypermarket.
The property is well placed for lakes and walks including el Caminito del Rey - which is worth the effort.
I cant recommend this property highly enough. It really was a great place for a family holiday, the children loved it, the adults did too. Great house, great pool and excellent owners.

Vacaciones de relax entre amigos Somos cinco pareja de amigos, al principio una pareja no pudo venir pero se incorporo mas tarde.
Cuando llegamos nos estaba esperando en la casa Loma la Parra, Colin y Francesca (por cierto muy amables y agradables), la casa es una maravilla con unas vistas impresionantes del valle y el pueblo y equipada con todo lo necesario para pasar unas vacaciones, y por supuesto la piscina y su barbacoa que no le faltaba ningún detalle.
Conclusión todo perfecto para estar de relax escullando música, tomando copas, charlar, etc.
Volveremos a ir pero en distinta estación, muy aconsejable para visitar los alrededores de Valle de Abdalajis.

Wonderful home with great views and lovely owners We spent a week at Loma La Parra with two other families and had a wonderful visit. The home was simply lovely and well sited to enjoy the beautiful views of Valle de Abdalajis, dramatic surrounding mountains, meandering country side filled with olive trees, and the passing goat herd on the nearby hill during several late afternoons. Our group of ten had plenty of space, but enjoyed gathering on the patio amongst the various sitting areas, ample dining area, and of course around the lovely pool with shaded area. The lounge chairs were very comfortable and the pool was very refreshing even in the heat of the summer. Seeing the milky way and shooting stars each night by the pool was a great way to end our days. We balanced day trips to Granada, Cordoba, and Ronda with time relaxing by the pool, and short trips into Antequera and El Torcal for a great hike amongst the unique rock formations. We enjoyed a special dinner at the Restaurante Plaza De Toros, dining with just a few other tables in the middle of the Bull Ring in Antequera - delicious meal featuring local specialities and wonderful service. Colin and Francesca were just delightful and so helpful while planning our visit, and also during our stay. They were always very responsive and pleasant. It is clear how special this property is to them and we are grateful to have called it home for a week. Their local family was lovely and one of our favorite meals was the gazpacho, paella and dessert they prepared for us. We enjoyed the air conditioning in the bedrooms but the house enjoys nice breezes as well. We recommend Loma La Parra and hope to return one day - Thank you Colin and Francesca!

Fantastic holiday rental We had a lovely relaxing break in Loma La Parra. The house is very spacious (especially for 2!) and well equipped. It's quiet and comfortable, and relatively isolated which is just what we wanted The pool area was lovely and the views spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the barbecue / bar house. We hired the place to relax in for a few days during a road trip around Spain, so weren't bothered about doing too much. We drove down to the Costa Del Sol but were a little underwhelmed by it (we thought Puerto Banus was ghastly and the bits of Marbella we saw little better) and wished we'd stayed by the pool. The owners were very helpful from start to finish.
One thing to note is that flies can be a bit of a nuisance; I if were going again I'd take some citronella candles or similar.
We couldn't find an information file in the house - might be worth adding something. May have missed it if it was online, but information on nearest supermarket and its opening hours, where to put the rubbish etc wasn't easily to hand for us at least.
There were numerous references to a welcome pack in the visitor book in the house, but we didn't get one. Couldn't help wondering what we were missing - a few essentials would have gone a long way. Minor points though, we loved the house and would recommend it without hesitation.

Beautiful house, Stunning Views, Wonderful owners Just back from a wonderful weeks stay at this property had a thoroughly great time. Ten of us stayed comfortably in the house with ages from 14 to 70's. The pool and barbecue area were ideal and the owners were extremely welcoming and attentive, helping with the arrival and activities during the week. There is a huge amount to see and do in the area. We got to Caminito del Rey, Alhambra, Seville, El Torcal and the lakes.

We loved our stay at Loma la Parra The villa was very nicely appointed with excellent views of the village and surrounding countryside. The owners were very responsive to any requests that we made. The location allowed us to make several day trips to surrounding site seeing locations in Andalucia. One of the highlights was two meals that Paco prepared and delivered to us at the villa. We had five couple that thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Thankyou for a wonderful holiday in your beautiful villa. Everything was perfect from day one .....we are an extended family with grandma age 92 and two babies 10 months and one year . The welcome pack was amazing....the villa was spotless. Everything was as described and we had a totally relaxing time. We loved been away from the world but with wi if the younger members of our party could stay in touch on social media! We had two cots two high chairs so everything we needed for two babies. The pool was cleaned before we woke up .....having gone on villa holidays for many years we felt that this was the best we have been to. We loved eating outside, and the sun beds were lovely and comfortable almost like it was prepared for family and not cheaply fitted out for a holiday villa. We prefer out of the way places although we did eat out a couple of times and we went to the beach .....just chilling by the pool and been together in a beautiful setting is what we like the best and here we got just that. Cannot speak highly enough of the villa and the owners who are lovely people who aim to make your holiday as easy as possible!

We are all most appreciative of your helpful advice and attention to detail throughout our stay. From the welcome pack with card for the wedding couple to your suggestions for the trip home. We have some wonderful memories, especially the feria in Albadajis , where Fernando was seen dancing the night away. A wonderful celebratory meal was enjoyed in Le Hoya at the hotel Fuente del Sol, an amazing experience. Also a great day at Iznajar, with its shady pines, we could not keep our boys off those pedaloes with chutes on the top!
Apart from that we were happy just to lounge around the pool, cooking at the barbecue or in your beautifully appointed kitchen, and to just enjoy the peace and beauty. We made one early morning sortie to the top of the hill behind the house, unmissable for the breathtaking views.
We were leaving with some sadness when the girls arrived to make it all lovely for the next lucky visitors.

wonderful place in quiet location We enjoyed our week in andalucia a lot. Loma la Parra is probably the nicest rental property we have visited so far. You will need a car but all the sights are within a 60-90 min drive (Sevilla, Cordoba, Malaga, Granada). With 5 bedrooms (all ensuite) the property will easily accommodate large parties and the nicely appointed kitchen will cater for all. The view from the terrace and pool is just perfect and the garden even includes a Barbecue place. Off course there is a TV and you have WiFi included. The nearby village will sell you everything you could possibly need and there is a number of nice Restaurants within a short drive. I could not possibly imagine anything that was missing and the owners, Colin and Francesca, were extremely nice and helpful.

A beautiful villa in a beautiful location The villa was extremely clean, very well equipped and spacious. The views in all directions were stunning and it was very peaceful.

Stunning location, beautiful property - awesome Really great to deal with the owners of this Villa direct, they are good people and were very helpful and accommodating. I was very impressed with how grand this villa is on the inside, beautiful furnished and well finished décor with everything you could need for a week in Spain. The outside area was great with a huge pool, plenty of deck chairs for sunbathing but also a lot of nice shaded sitting areas to get out of the sun for a few hours. I love cooking and really enjoyed the BBQ area, which was a covered outdoor area complete with BBQ and beer fridge, how perfect!

The location on top of the hill gives you privacy but also a welcome breeze in the afternoon heat. The nearby village is very nice with 2 butchers and small mini markets for supplies.

Perfect for familys and friends We were 10 adults and children on holiday in this amazing lovely house, far from tourism on the coast. We enjoyed the very well equipped house, the lovely kitchen and especially the terrace and pool. Almost daily the pool was cleaned. The weather was really hot outside but the house remained cool if you remembered to close the doors and windows. The owner could consider a ceiling fan in the bedrooms. The three bedrooms were very spacious and high ceilings, but the fourth room in the tower was low-ceilinged and unfortunately very hot. but all in all I can only recommend the place, and would like to return some other time.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at your villa and for your hospitality. We very much enjoyed your place and the beautiful surroundings. It was great hanging out at the pool and sharing meals and conversation around the comfortable dining room table. It is a great location to take day trips from and have a warm comfortable place to come back to and relax. Some of our group never left...they preferred to take advantage of the pool and walks to the village.

We hope that we can visit again on our next trip to Spain.

Lovely holiday This is a very spacious villa and even nicer than the photos on the website - we were a party of 8 and had plenty of room. It's a lovely location and completely private. The villa has everything you need and very helpful owners. There is no air conditioning but there are fans and this was perfectly fine, even during a very hot week in July. I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere peacful and away from crowds of tourists.

Wonderful. Better than advertised. A lovely place for a family holiday. The ten of us had a great time. We hope to be returning as soon as we can!

Perfect Peace Our party consisted of two families with 5 children ranging in age from 3 - 13. Villa Loma La Parra was the perfect place for us as we wanted peace and quiet and 'real Spain' not 'tourist Spain'. We got exactly what we wanted.
The villa is set in a countryside dotted with olive trees. The only sound that we could hear on a regular basis was the sound of goat bells as the herder took them up the hill every day.
The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. There was a great big communal area for family gatherings although we were outside for every meal.
There are fans in every room which are sufficient but we may not go in such a hot time of the year again - the heat in July is pretty intense.
Colin and Francesca, the owners, were incredibly helpful from start to finish and it is this sort of attention to detail that makes a holiday really work.
The swimming pool was large enough for us to hold our own mini Olympics and do regular lengths.
The local town was a short drive away and was delightful - we did not hear a single British voice. The local shopkeepers were more than helpful and the church is worth a visit.
Swimming in the freshwater reservoirs in the mountains was the highlight of our stay.Utterly blissful!
The only slight criticism is that the fridge wasn't working properly however Colin and Francesca sent someone round to fix it very swiftly.
We wish we had gone at a time that co-incided with local festivals and/or a bullfight but all in all this is the perfect location for anyone wanting a peaceful break.

Wonderful Loma La Parra Loma La Parra exceeded our expectations on every front. We had a brilliant 2 weeks there during August - and are now missing it big time on our return to reality and work!!

After a long journey from the USA via Ireland, we were so pleased to arrive at a wonderful mountain venue that looked even better in reality than on the photographs. Ensuite bedrooms for all guests, living areas, wireless internet access, kitchen, outside dining area, the barbecue house, and the wonderful pool - all were just excellent. We had many long lazy days by the pool - and several great day trips to beautiful local villages and amazing cities. The owners took exemplary care of us - and were always available when we needed them. Which wasn't often - given that everything was even better than offered! The pool was pristine every morning - and must have been cleaned up even before we rose. Local restaurants were just as described by the owners, and we had a couple of really special meals in the local hotels they highlighted.

Oh and the surrounding countryside is just spectacular - with beautiful mountains and wonderful winding roads.

By teh way, the owners' directions fromt the airport where just perfect!

Thanks Loma La Parra - we loved being there and miss you big time! We'll be back...

Fantastic stay in a wonderful house ! We had the pleasure to stay in this villa within a group of 12 adults plus our 2 and a half year old son.
The villa is very quiet as there is neither road nor neighbours nearby, and the view on the valley is amazing.
We had a great time there in august as the weather was very sunny but at the same time a bit windy due to the location so not horribly hot. So the absence of air conditioning was not an issue at all. And there is a fan in each room just in case.
The house is really comfortable. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, no need to carry bedsheets or towels, and all you may need is there including a washing machine, tumble-dryer. (no need to say it's been useless with the weather we had in august), dishwasher, wireless internet and satellite tv.
The barbecue corner is awesome and the pool amazing.
Very nice that the pool is cleant every other day.
All you may need during your stay is in the village 2 km away (Valle de Abdalajis): small supermarket, pharmacy, doctor,...
If you're looking for quiet vacations (or great party without bothering anyone around) in a fantastic house with a very friendly owner, less than an hour drive from Malaga airport, with guaranteed sunshine, don't hesitate: book villa la Loma !

A Wedding in Andalucia! Loma La Parra was the perfect location to prepare for, to celebrate and to relax after our daughter's wedding.We really enjoyed topping up our tans, our glasses and being together in such a beautiful location. The perfect home and hosts Colin and Francesca provided a beautiful spacious Villa in immaculate order and are the perfect hosts. They made sure we had all we needed for a comfortable stay. You arrive to a generous welcome pack and a phone call to answer any queries. The pool is beautiful and gave us all day entertainment and sunshine followed by many memorable BBQs in the outdoor kitchen at night. There is a friendly little town just down the road with all the essentials and we had some amazing day trips to Malaga (Picasso museum and shopping), The Alhambra, a water park, Rhonda and not forgetting the stunning turquoise lakes! This is one of the best Villas we have rented and highly recommend.

My perfect holiday retreat Loma La Parra does not disappoint, from the moment you arrive this villa is just stunning. The location for us was perfect as we love the rural location. However you are still only 1/2 hr from Antequera and the local village is just a couple of minutes drive away and you can easily get all the supplies you need from there. We loved the little kiosks in the market square were you could get fresh fruit & veg (Figs to die for!) and also the prawns & squid were fantastic & incredibly cheap.
The Villa was immaculately clean on our arrival & Colin & Francesca were incredibly attentive to our needs and always on the end of a phone if we needed them. They also provided us with loads of great information regarding shopping & activities etc which really helped make our holiday perfect.
There were 10 of us (3 families) together in theis villa & at no time did it feel crowded, the rooms are not just spacious they are enormous.
We have stayed in many villas over the years and this is definately one of the best. I cannot recommended it too highly and we all hope to be back at Loma La Parra vey soon.

Best of the Best one of the best and most enjoyable short breaks l have had with my family a most beautiful villa we will be back . A bonus for the kids and grown up was the visit to the lobo park a worth while visit. I have stayed at other villas but this one tops the list if you want a relaxing holiday visit this villa.

4-18 August 2011 13 people aged 6-45 A superb villa in a stunning location completely private 30 mins from Antequera and a good hours drive to the coast.
The villa is in lovely condition with good facilities and well maintained. The pool and surrounding area is fantastic and there are 12 loungers each with luxury full length cushions. There are plenty of eating areas and the BBQ area is excellent. Colin has been extremely obliging and we can't fault our stay here. We thoroughly recommend this lovely retreat.

Exceeded our high expectations Unlike other villas / fincas we have rented around the white villages of Andalucia, Loma La Parra had no significant drawback - indeed it was just delightful!
Remote countryside location with stunning mountain views, yet just 5 minutes drive from a charming village with good choice of shops and restaurants. High standard of build and equipment, with plenty of space for multiple occupancy, including a number of quiet corners to relax away from the crowd.
We spent most of our time around the excellent pool, terrace and BBQ - you can easily keep an eye on children in the pool from the main terrace by the house as well as from the BBQ area or poolside sunloungers.
The low beamed ceiling in the Loft bedroom was a challenge for the adults in our party - we might take a crash helmet next time!! Although the odd bump on the head is a small price to pay for such a great holiday villa

Beautiful villa in idylic surroundings Had 2 wonderful weeks in july 2009. 9 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 74. Villa was beautifully furnished, spacious and very clean. Pool & barbeque area and the terrace furnished spectacular views across the valley.
Antequerra is a relatively short drive away and is a typical Spanish town full of character but not overly touristy. Perfect place to go if you want a real taste of Spain. None of us wanted to leave and all felt it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. If you want bustling nightlife, this isn't the place but if you want to relax and recharge your batteries, you couldn't get better. Colin & Francesca went out of their way to ensure all our needs were catered for and arrange introductions to some locals who made us feel very welcome. Colin was always at the end of the phone if we had any questions e.g. internet access and any slight issues were quickly resolved. Enjoy, we did !
