Beautiful finca in a breathtaking location.

My parents, my husband & myself stayed here for an idyllic week at the end of September and almost don’t want to review it as its the kind of place you want to stay a well kept secret! From initial inquiries to the end of the holiday the owners Colin & Francesca were fantastic hosts, always contactable and extremely helpful. The Finca is beautiful and really well equipped, comfortable beds & aircon in all the bedrooms. The outside spaces & the pool area are all overlooking stunning open landscape & amazing geological rock formations which are a home to vultures, eagles & Ibex making for interesting watching. Although well equipped enough to make this a relaxing pool side holiday I would highly recommend getting out & about. The Caminito Dey Rey is an absolute must but there are also plenty of well marked walking trails in the area. There are also several historical & geological sites close by and many interesting towns & villages within driving distance. The other thing to note is that the Rocabella restaurant is a convenient 1.1k walk away from the Finca if you don’t fancy driving to eat out. All in all this is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in and I would highly recommend it for anybody who likes an active holiday or just wants to spend a chilled out week by the pool. Thank you Colin & Francesca.

A beautiful mini honeymoon stay in paradise

Colin and Francesca were amazing and helpful from the moment we booked to the moment we left. We were met in a nearby town after a beautiful drive from Marbella. And let me tell you, the views driving to the house are amazing, and somehow even better when you get to the villa itself. Colin and Francesca left us some lovely basic supplies in the fridge, even a bottle of bubbly ! Which we drank by the beautiful pool the second we unpacked. The villa traditionally decorated and very clean. It’s extremely peaceful and tranquil…. and oh my the sunsets and sunrises will be some that we never forget! The hillside and mountain formations are extremely pretty. And one afternoon we even had the pleasure of seeing some wild Spanish ibex visit the pool – which was a surreal and wonderful moment being so connected to a herd of wild animals. Thank you to you both for truly making our stay one we will never forget! Blair & Dara

Idyllic setting

A wonderful family holiday- firstly I echo a earlier r/v about the correspondence between the owner Colin and ourselves which was prompt and he went beyond the call of duty to access a guitar for our daughter whilst there, and gave us lots of useful information about the local area and the feria. The meeting arrangements were clear and we were met to take us the last couple of kms. The property itself and its surroundings were breathtaking- the pictures on homeaway and their own website gave us high expectations but it was actually even better in reality. Visits by the ibex, watching the vultures soaring, the sound of an eagle owl as well as the tinkle of the goat herds were daily occurrences and we were happy to spend a number of days by the immaculately kept pool and gardens. Overall a fantastic place to stay and we would definitely consider booking again.

Absolutely Fantastic 2 weeks

We are just back today having spent a fabulous 2 weeks in this wonderful cottage. My wife and I went with my son, his wife, and their 2 children aged 8 and 11. The children were in the pool every day (as were the adults) and it was a joy to see how much they enjoyed their time there. Add to that the lovely surroundings for our meals each day and the time we spent watching the vultures circling overhead and the Ibex who visited virtually every day to have a drink from the pool and you might just imagine how good this was. We did have a problem on the first day of arrival when a tyre on the car was absolutely ruined but Colin and his nephew Jose were on hand to help us get a new tyre fitted by the local garage. It did take a few days as the tyre required to be ordered before it could be fixed but that just forced us to start our holiday by spending most of the time at the cottage. A fantastic holiday for all the family. Thanks to Colin, Francesca, and the family.
